Benefit Porefessional Primer

Benefit Porefessional Primer

Benefit Porefessional is a primer/balm that helps to minimise the appearance of pores and fine lines. It also helps to blue imperfections and leave a smooth surface.

I bought this online on a whim as I have a few noticeable pores that I was fed up of noticing after applying make up. I've heard a lot of good reviews on this product so decided to give it a go. My first impressions were not great. The product seemed to have a tint to it and gave the impression it would be oily. There isn't anything quiet like jumping to conclusions haha.

The consistency of this is actually light so it blends in instantly and does minimise the appearance of pores. It doesn't completely make them invisible but it does certainly help. The Porefessional works best, in my experience, if you apply it then pat it in to the skin then let it sink in before applying foundation. This product has the potential to be lovely on it's own if you only have big pores. Unfortunately  I have patchy skin so I have to use Foundation or BB Cream with it but it certainly improves the appearance  I suffer mostly with large pores on my T-Zone and majority of my forehead so I have a large surface to cover  and was pleasantly surprised with the small amount that you need to cover your imperfections so although it may seem pricey for the size, it should last anyone a a substantial amount of time. Another positive of this product is that you can apply it over your foundation. I have used this and needed to touch up certain areas after applying my make up and it blends in just as well over make up as it does with out. The only flaw I find personally in this product is the staying power. As great as it is, it would be even better if it lasted. This could just be my skin as everyone is different but I find after a few hours my pores tend to re surface. The Benefit website does state that you should carry it with you for touch ups. Apart from the staying power, I have enjoyed this product and so far it has been the only successful product that has minimised pores.
